@jamescarterpoet Thank you. I enjoyed learning that bassline. Forgotten it now of course but enjoyed learning it at the time.
@Bridgeanne That is really very lovely of you to say. Of course, we all know that it's my daughter who's the real star here.
RT @russellprue: @jonesgarethp We're thrilled to be hosting Gareth on our #EducationRadio channel @LearnRadioLive on Wed 19th May at 5pm, t…
My next #PirateJukeBox will be my attempt at a Fatboy Slim classic on accordion, bass, ukulele, guitar & trumpet. Not sure which puppet is singing yet but it will include some public dancing. Click the ❤ if you'd like a shout out when it's up (today or tomorrow probably).
@elondann Ustinov is one of the few people I've ever heard of releasing albums of his anecdotes. I suppose others must have done the same. Of course, these days he'd have a podcast & a youtube channel.
Seeing James Martin trending reminds me of when I used to share an office with the Saturday Kitchen producers. He would come into the office on Fridays. I seem to remember he would consume two pizza express pizzas during the meetings. Two! Maybe I've misremembered that.
To those of you who here for the dancing, I also offer a range of the children's books, online busking (using the hashtag #PirateJukeBox), author school visits & festival performances.
I seem to have picked up a few new followers yesterday, presumably hungry for more quality dancing so here is the uncut video of me & my dad dancing last weekend. For more #dailydances follow me on instagram. https://t.co/bF0t6kvHd8
RT @Munkey_Pants: Saw the PDF of Solve Your Own Mystery earlier. It's looking SO GOOD! I can't wait for you all to see it in print. I'm so…
@DobbersW Oh, that's brilliant. Next time they meet an author I really hope one of them asks the author to dance.
All of this week's songs with dance/dancing in the title have now been archived on my youtube account. I'm now looking for suggestions of songs that get you dancing. #PirateJukeBox
@Thatpoetrybloke Winning readers over one by one (as most of us do) is... so ... damned... exhausting. As someone once said, give me somewhere to stand and a long enough stick and I'll move the world.
@AlanDapre As you are now the second person to correct my history and for clarity sake, it was a joke. And yes, they hanged the monkey.
We should also remember that the people of Hartlepool once famously mistook a monkey for a Frenchman then elected him to be the Prime Minister.
@MrEagletonIan That's pretty much me on every school visit... well, with more puppets & a ukulele.
Much of Twitter today will be: "Ha ha. That man we don't like lost. Let's bring back the guy we did like who lost." Sheesh!
@joyseabee @FarshoreBooks @Loretta_Schauer If there's one thing you've taught me about directing it's that it pays to be tough on your actors.
I mean, can you imagine what it would be like if I was a celebrity & putting out all this quality online content? I'd break the flipping internet. I'm thinking it might be time to stop messing about & actually become famous. It's the forms that put me off. So many forms.
@elondann Nah. These days Kids TV presenters are over the hill by the age of 30. Also, I'm way too edgy for Playschool.
@sweetymog @FarshoreBooks @Loretta_Schauer He is getting through a lot of gazelles. Luckily, they're considered a pest in this part of South East London so I usually just let him go hunting at night on his own.
I mean, Rabunzel froze like... well, like a rabbit in headlights. I totally had to fill for her. But don't worry. We're workshopping it now & I think we're going to turn Rabunzel's stage fright into "a bit" that we do. Louis was a star performer but lacked structure in places.
@_RozKay @mrjamesmayhew That's very kind of you but I like to throw a few dud ones in from time to time. I liked this one though.
