@LadyGrimdark @jonesgarethp I’m thinking I might need to bust out some of my favourite one-star reviews now...
@jonesgarethp That’s a modern-day Thomas-Hardy-style tragic-trajectory-triggering moment if ever I heard one.
@jonesgarethp @ginger_worrier @Iamdianem Are you still seeking "dance" related songs? If so, how about "Dancing in the Moonlight", a very melodic number from normally hard rocking (sorry, rockin') Thin Lizzy. Catchy and upbeat.
@jonesgarethp "SHAME of CANCELLED author as he JOKES about NAZI ATROCITIES, Booker Prize WITHDRAWN, Nobel committee STUNNED" sorry just had a nightmare vision of the future there. "Atom Leak Mum in Boy George Mercy Dash" gaaah, tabloid disease. Bonus points if you know that 2nd reference.
@jonesgarethp They probably don't have "Home Bargains" where you live, since we long ago established people leave gold ingots out with the wheelie bins there, but believe me, it exists. And it's good.
@jonesgarethp "M&S Hitler" is slightly unfortunate since Michael Marks was Jewish. Hmm, how about "Home Bargains Hitler"?
@jonesgarethp Coming at it from a different angle, I'd like to be the Woolworths' Walter Benjamin please.
@jonesgarethp Yes, it's crazy. TBH it's more the criticism that upsets me than the ratings. I need a thicker shell.
@jonesgarethp Lol, that's brilliant. Joe gets lots of reviews like that and sometimes emails from people telling him they have read his book and now going to burn it! Sounds like a great book!
@jonesgarethp I saw Seasick Steve in a tiny venue in Stoke Newington years before he went on Jools Holland etc. I had no idea who he was & was only there because a friend's boyfriend loved the blues. When he turned up on tv I thought "I remember a bloke with a crap guitar sitting on a box..."
@jonesgarethp Also The Beastie Boys (& Run DMC) at Brixton Academy during that whole mad tabloid furore. It wasn't that great but I guess it became cool due to the circumstances.
@jonesgarethp Mose Allison and Dizzy! Wowee! I think my coolest as in cool-cat cool would be Eric Bibb at the Basement in Sydney.
