@AbbieCadabra @MartinSLewis Thanks for your response. My issue is more where the money for the leave should come from, the employer or the furlough scheme? I work for an agency and so accrue leave as I work. The leave concerned was accrued prior to furlough so should have already been paid for by that job.
@MartinSLewis Can you clarify, does this mean that employers can’t claim furlough whilst forcing an employee to take holiday (basically pocketing furlough grant whilst making worker use holiday leave already accrued)? A lot doing this to avoid paying left over holiday when job ends.
@RishiSunak Problem is 10th June deadline creates an issue for struggling businesses who have not yet furloughed staff. They will be forced to lay people off completely for 3 weeks in order to give employees access to the flexible system. Allowing some work as of now would make more sense.
@VictoriaPrentis ‘Ultimately whether he keeps his job is not a matter for me; it is a matter for the Prime Minister.’ I disagree. As an MP, you have power and responsibility. You have both a public voice and an ability to collectively decide whether Johnson stays as PM. It is a matter for you.
@Halfords_uk Thanks - I did but have had some more help via your live chat. They are going to contact store and get them to contact me. I will let you know if I have any further issues.
@Halfords_uk Unfortunately seems that the issue isn’t resolved. Bike now showing as in stock on your website but store saying otherwise. Impossible to buy via website as payment won’t process. Can you please explain how a customer can buy a bike from you?
@Halfords_uk Update- have managed to get through to your live chat at last. Person was helpful and let me know orders had not been processed. I will order in store now as website doesn’t seem to be working for me. Still not really clear why as my operating system is up to date on tablet.
@Halfords_uk Thank you. I’ve sent a DM but no satisfactory response so have sent more. Still unable to complete transactions on another bike. Tried PayPal and DD. It seems though that I will end up with nothing due to poor website and non existent customer service.
@Halfords_uk As far as I can tell there is no customer service. If I am wrong, can you please direct me to it? No live chat, no phone support when I tried.
@Halfords_uk I think people appreciate these are difficult times and you are busier than usual but surely if you are going to keep business open you still are obliged to provide some customer support? Shutting down any form of contact doesn’t come across well to be honest.
@Halfords_uk Hey, I’ve just tried to order a Carrera Vengeance MB from your website - tried to pay about 7 times. Each time it said the transaction had gone through but then just went back to start page. Now saying bike out of stock. Tried to phone but no customer service and no live chat.

@VictoriaPrentis Could he also give some clarity as to whether agency workers qualify for the same financial support, should they be laid off, as employees do? Completely unacceptable that no clarity is being given.
@LaylaMoran @LibDems Would be helpful if agency workers could get some clarification too. We are PAYE but with no contract with the host organisation. Agencies are still seeking clarity from government regarding our entitlements. Would be great if we could get it soon.
@jessphillips Great to be talking about self employed but agency workers also need clarification. We are on PAYE but not directly employed, even though many of us have been in roles for months or years. Agencies don’t know the rules and nobody mentions us.
@Peston @BorisJohnson Can agency workers have some clarification too? Many PAYE agency workers have worked in same role for months or years but have no direct contract with host organisation. Do they qualify for furlough or anything else? Please, please talk about this. The agencies don’t know.
@BBCr4today @Marthakearney @bbcnickrobinson Can someone at the BBC (or anywhere else even) ask the chancellor what he plans to do to help agency workers and whether we qualify for furlough as other PAYE workers do? Agencies saying currently they don’t know. Plenty of low paid in this category. No one speaking for us.
@DanielHewittITV Is anyone talking about agency workers yet and what help they qualify for? Agency workers are PAYE but not employees as such. Agencies are currently saying they don’t know and are seeking clarification from the government - please talk about this too.
