But this from @angiecthomas is so important - we all want there to be a day when people read #TheHateUGive and think "wow I can't believe it used to be like that" rather than it reflecting a sad and very current reality.
@angiecthomas You've done so much!!! You deserve a break for sure. I think you should get a big rule board you prop it up on stage at events and if people ask you questions about racism you can just point to it and say NOPE.
Huge good luck to @emeraldfennell for the Oscars tonight!! Coincidentally today I happened to be Fowey, where her brilliant novel Monsters is set, so hopefully that makes the luck all the more cosmic! 💛💙 The children's book industry is rooting for you! 😍
Have been enjoying listening to @SIGTTPodcast and @SentimentalPod 's Sentimental In the City mini series SO MUCH, I feel like I need an equivalent in depth discussion podcast for Buffy, does such a thing exist that's so good like these two are??
Yikes apparently it's #MyTwitterAnniversary - 12 years! I joined when on work experience @WalkerBooksUK and now I'm in charge of their PR team so THAT'S nice but I can't say Twitter is as fun as I thought it was back then alas. Here for the nice people and book news though!
A very happy publication day to @JonathanAStroud's #TheOutlawsScarlettandBrowne which is the most fantastic read full of wit, adventure and thrills! There's nothing else quite like a Jonathan Stroud book! Alas only a proof here to show off but get your hands on a finished copy!
@Czaroline Here is in fact a recent photo of the leftover Barbies before being handed down to my niece, many of whom have been redressed in other people's clothes but there's India Barbie next to Aladdin chillin
So @bennyobooks is working with @yotoplay at the moment and I am reaping the benefits of listening to their radio station, which is aimed at children and also me. Isn't the player so cuuute!?
Of course even for the time (11 years ago) it was ludicrously cheap and we eventually got evicted and I had a right shock paying almost twice as much rent in my next flat, and had to borrow loads of money to afford it on my then entry level publishing salary
