Reading for Research Day 23: @carriebrowntx & @kirsticall thank their wonderful team of 2021 presenters as #ReFoReMo comes to an end. What a month filled with inspiration and new perspectives it has been❣️ ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://t.co/8nBz7fMNiS
My latest stack. My husband is tired of me “borrowing” his library card lol. My original goal was to read 100 PBs this year. I’m currently at 46 PBs prior to this stack and the start of #ReFoReMo in March. What should be my new goal?!
One way to read some awesome mentor texts is to have a sweet friend that attended #NCTE18! Thank you @StephanieKaynes for the first bag of loans! I bet a bunch of these will be on the #ReFoReMo list!! #kidlit #12x12PB
Thanks, #ReFoReMo and all of the amazing authors and illustrators (and librarians!) who brought this amazing stack of books into my home. I’d also like to thank my amazing back and biceps for carrying them. Now off to the computer to reserve more!

#ReFoReMo Day 21: Author/Librarian @infowoman1 shares books that "help teach how to think with your eyes as well as your words by inviting the illustrator into your writing." 👀 ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://t.co/Wi2k0vywTn
I LOVE this months @carriebrowntx #ReFoReMo challenge! Write about an UMBRELLA☂ Thnx @smile73777 for including THE GREEN UMBRELLA as a mentor text w these FUN PBs🌟 🌂THE BIG UMBRELLA 🌂ELLA’S UMBRELLA 🌂THE UMBRELLA QUEEN Here’s to rainy days!☔️ https://t.co/9ZQpF7tDAl
I love books that pack an emotional punch. For #RefoReMo, I've highlighted five books that show vulnerability and heart with tact rather than with schmaltz or overt didacticism:
March 6, 2020 KidLitQuoteOfTheDay: "Excuse me, Bears. Did my kids pass by here? Sorry, but we've only seen Goldilocks! Papa Bear's porridge is also missing."--There Was An Old Lady Who Lived in a Book by @jmtejido @jimmy_books #ReFoReMo
#ReFoReMo is on! Which means my poor librarians have A LOT of books to pull. But I'm so excited! I seriously love this event and always get so much out of it.
PB Writers! There's less than a week to register for #ReFoReMo, the fabulous and FREE month-long study of the craft of picture books (Reading for Research Month). Can't recommend this one enough! https://t.co/gGS8SVQuoS
I need a Biggun-Mobile! THE LAST KIDS ON EARTH AND THE NIGHTMARE KING by Max Brallier has great #GraphicNovel art by Douglas Holgate. I’m keeping #ReFoReMo going all year long with #libraryloot. #kidlit #middlegrade #amillustrating #amwriting #childrens #MG #Fantasy #comics
Author Corey Rosen Schwartz Says Onomatopoeia Adds Ooomph #ReFoReMo "Books can be plot-driven or character-driven, but sometimes a picture book is purely language-driven-- word choice is the primary vehicle for moving the story along." https://t.co/EQr6RQuPVs
These books capture the voice & character of preschoolers & kindergartners. But the child who said, she must have a lot of kids, look at all those books, expressed the perspective & attentiveness of kids. #kidlit #Reforemo #writersread #12x12PB
Mentor texts vs. comps. Confused? @CindySchrauben has an excellent explanation in this #RefoReMo post. https://t.co/dKytYHnlh1 @kirsticall @carriebrowntx @TeresaRobeson
#reforemo blog reading list today was too much fun. 2nd person POV + series potential was a strategy I’d never noticed. 🤯 gotta read some more from this list!!! #kidlit #picturebooks . https://t.co/iW24KdHibd
